In the German City of Mannheim 'smart cameras' are used as AI suverillance tools. Sometimes, however, hugs are mistaken for violent attacks.

Norway fines Meta and forbids tracking of its users

After the court ruled that Meta was unlawfully collecting personal data for marketing purposes, Norway has temporarily banned the company from tracking personal user data and fined it nearly €100,000 for each day it does not comply with the ban.

€ 1 million fine for using Google Analytics against Tele2 and CDON

The Swedish data protection authority fines the telecommunication provider Tele2 and the online retailer CDON with a total of € 1 million fpr using Google Analytics due to severe GDPR violations.

U.S. Intelligence services collect sensitive data on everyone

An official report by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) reveals that the U.S. intelligence agencies have collected and bought data on almost everyone.

Meta's Twitter rival 'Threads' will not launch in the EU
